Doodle Jump for Kinect Brings a Classic to the Family Room

Iconic Mobile Gaming Hit Makes the Leap to Xbox Live in Summer 2013

New York, NY – June 4, 2013 – Lima Sky and D3Publisher today announced that Doodle Jump for Kinect™ is coming to the Xbox LIVE® online entertainment network for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft as an arcade game in summer 2013. Doodle Jump for Kinect takes the adorably addicting, vertical-platforming gameplay of the original mobile game – which has made it the third most successful paid iOS app of all time – and brings it onto home consoles for the first time, with new content and an entirely unique control scheme made possible only through exclusive Kinect™ for Xbox 360 integration.

“We’ve brought the Doodler onto new platforms before, but never like this,” noted Igor Pusenjak, co-founder of Lima Sky. “The unparalleled freedom afforded by Kinect for Xbox 360 allows us to explore new gameplay experiences we never even imagined were possible when we first developed the original Doodle Jump.”

DJ_4

Developed by Smoking Gun Interactive in collaboration with Lima Sky, Doodle Jump for Kinect delivers a fresh, new take on the simple, accessible, tried-and-true action of the original. Players move their bodies left and right to control the Doodler, blast nose balls with arm gestures, fly with a flap of the arms and more, with other unique body motion controls. Doodle Jump for Kinect brings exclusive content to Xbox 360 that has never before been seen in the series: three brand-new worlds, treacherous bosses, challenging achievements, engaging power-ups and intuitive gesture controls.

Doodle Jump for Kinect will be available on Xbox LIVE for 400 Microsoft Points in summer 2013. It requires Kinect to play.

Freddy Rodriguez Joins Cast of Twisted Pixel’s LocoCycle

March 15th, 2013 – Austin, TX – Freddy Rodriguez is already well known for his work in films like Planet Terror and television series like Six Feet Under, but every once in a while an actor gets an opportunity to go beyond acting, to play the transcendent role of a generation.  In this case, starring as Pablo in the upcoming buddy-comedy video game LocoCycle.  DeNiro and Hanks tried desperately to land the role but, in the end, Rodriguez’s moving portrayal of the terrified South American engineer was too powerful to deny.  Also, his Spanish was better.

LC_Screen_13
Rodriguez joins Robert Patrick (S.P.I.K.E.) and Lisa Foiles (I.R.I.S.) in telling the tale of an escaped sentient military motorcycle who uses her speed and martial arts to seek freedom in America.  I.R.I.S. is attacked at every turn, and her only ally is her mechanic Pablo, whose pants leg gets stuck to her rear axle as she makes her initial escape.

LC_Screen_32

Twisted Pixel will be debuting a new level from LocoCycle at PAX East, revealing more of the interactions between I.R.I.S. and Pablo.  Along with showing the two riding and fighting together, the level also showcases Pablo’s ability to repair I.R.I.S. when her lightning-scrambled processor shuts down, as well as featuring some of their more intense action sequences.

Infinite Doodle, Xbox 360 Review.

Infinite Doodle is out for the Xbox 360 and is 80 Microsoft points. It is a great game for anyone that wants to draw anything. As the name suggest you can doodle until you get tired of doodling you zoom in and out making different layers.

246

There is not much to do but doodle/draw whatever your heart desires but it is a fun little game to do just that.

Special Forces: Team X Review

Special Forces : Team X, is out now for 1200 Microsoft points and is rated M for Blood Gore and Violence.

screenlg1

This game reminds me a lot like team fortress it’s kind of cartoony but is really fun to play. It has the weapon unlocks and equipment unlocks like most games like this. It has some good online game play since that’s the only way you can play it is online only.

screenlg3

Parents need to keep in mind this is a M rated game so don’t let your pre-teens play it even some teens should not play violent games. It does give you some mix of weapons and skills to play with. All in all I think this is a game to buy it’s fun and and way to play a quick match if you don’t have time to put your COD disk in just give this game a try.

Magrunner, when competition turns into a nightmare.

magrunner_artwork

Developed on Unreal Engine 3 by 3AM (Frogwares), Magrunner is an action/reflection game for PC, PlayStation Network, and Xbox LIVE based on the use of physics and magnetism. Magrunner sends us to the near future, where technology will confront the Cthulhu Mythos as imagined by the renowned author of fantasy novels H. P. Lovecraft.

magrunner-03

Today, we are pleased to reveal more about Magrunner through 6 screenshots and an exclusive piece of art. The game’s story begins in 2050 and takes place in a big sports competition broadcast through the entire world, intended to promote a new technology based on magnetism.

The 8 participants’ objective is to finish first in a huge race made up of many challenge rooms, each one bigger and more complex than the last. Each of them has a special glove that interacts with the new magnetic technology and enables them to journey through more and more spectacular rooms by charging various objects and elements of the environment with magnetic forces that attract or repel other objects.

NEW_magrunner-09

However, the competition soon turns into a real nightmare. A power outage and what feels like an earthquake isolates the competitors from the rest of the world. Their only hope is to finish the course and attempt to contact the exterior world. But the challenge rooms that separate them from the finish grow more and more menacing and a long descent into hell awaits them. At the end of the tunnel lies a frightening secret that could threaten all of humanity. Today’s screenshots show all this, from the modern and sleek-looking challenge rooms at the beginning to the darker and more troubling areas that follow.

war. Each game consists of 11 turns, where carefully placed colored
tiles are matched. A successful match of three or more clears the board
and demolishes an opponent’s ability to score. At each turn, players
can choose to drive toward cooperative game play — collaborating with
opponents to play off of the existing game pieces–or competitive,
going on the offensive with blocked moves, well-placed power-ups and a
few tricks up your sleeve. Additional game features include:

–  Green with envy: Lay it on the line with special game board multipliers
where playing certain tiles can account for twice or three times the
amount of point boosts.
–  Have Your Opponents Seeing Red: Players can mix up game play by using
strategic bombs to break up the board, eliminating pieces and creating a
dynamic experience.
–  Color Bonus:   At the beginning of each game players’ are assigned a
bonus color, that when matched awards extra points.
–  Connect and Match: Favorite social features like in-game chat and
Facebook connect allow you to connect with friends and opponents
wherever, whenever.

“With Friends games are highly social, snack-size entertainment that
blend well-loved, nostalgic pastimes with brand new game design
concepts,” said Paul Bettner, Vice President and General Manager of
Zynga With Friends. “Nearly three years after we launched Chess With
Friends, I am proud to see the franchise grow to five games — each
with its own special twist – and can’t wait to see how Matching With
Friends will connect friends and family around the globe.”

Zynga is dedicated to creating and delivering free, social,
high-quality mobile games for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch, including
recent titles Zynga Slots and Zombie Swipeout.Matching With Friends is
